What is the Positive Approach to Care (PAC) training?

PAC training provides hands-on, interactive learning about dementia, brain changes, and effective care giving strategies using Teepa Snow’s PAC philosophy.

 

Who is this training for?

The training is designed for family caregivers, healthcare professionals, aged care & support workers, and anyone supporting individuals living with dementia.

 

Do I need prior experience with dementia care to attend?

No prior experience is needed! The course is structured to benefit both beginners and experienced caregivers.

 

What will I learn in this training?

You’ll learn about brain changes in dementia, practical communication strategies, hands-on care giving techniques, and ways to provide positive, respectful support.

 

How long is the training?

The PAC Champion Course consists of four 2-hour modules, and personalised private sessions are also available upon request.

 

Is the training in-person or online?

I am Perth-based, and sessions are primarily conducted in-person for a hands-on learning experience. However, virtual training options may be available upon request.

 

Where is the training held?

Sessions can be arranged at a designated venue, your workplace, or even in-home for family caregivers (providing the right technology and space to move around are available).

 

Can I book private sessions?

Yes! One-on-one and small group (max 8 people) private training can be arranged to fit your specific needs.

 

How much does the training cost?

Pricing depends on the course format (group, private, workplace). Please contact me for a quote tailored to your needs.
