Positive Approach to Care
The Positive Approach to Care®, created by Teepa Snow, is a specialised dementia training program designed for individuals and teams. It focuses on the chemical and physical changes in the brain, how these changes impact a person’s abilities, and what others may observe as a result. This training emphasises recognising individual needs and supporting those experiencing brain changes with respectful, therapeutic approaches.
Effective Care
By educating participants on the physical and functional changes in the brain caused by dementia, Positive Approach to Care® training empowers caregivers to offer more effective, compassionate support to those affected.
We're all doing our Best
PAC is valuable for anyone connected to individuals living with dementia, from family members to professional caregivers. The PAC philosophy is built on the belief that both caregivers and those with dementia are doing their best, and that with better understanding, they can provide and receive better care.
